Registration Procedures and Policies

 
Year-round Registrations
 
1. Registrations are accepted in an on-going basis.  If a program has started and space is still available, registration fees will be pro-rated for classes already missed. 

How to Register

1.  Registrations are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis and are subject to availability. Programs fill fast, so register as soon as possible.
2.  Register by one of these methods:
  • Online.  Click the "Registration" link on this website.
  • In-person.  Book an appointment with our office using the link on our homepage, or walk in during office hours.  
 
Payment and Registration Confirmation
 
1.  Registration fees must be paid as per your payment plan choice at the time of registration. 
2.  Skaters are considered registered when payment is received.
3.  Credit card payment may be use for online or in-person registrations.
4.  Cash payment is accepted for in-person registrations only.  
5.  All funds must be Canadian currency.  Fliteway does not export any goods or services.
 
Financial Assistance
 
1.  Low-income families may qualify for financial assistance through KidSport or Jumpstart.  Click on this logo:
 
 
2.  Funding must be secured before registration can be processed. 
 
NOTE: KidSport may take a few weeks to approve applications, so apply early in order to ensure your Fliteway registration is processed in time.
 
Refunds/ Program Transfers/ Cancellations/ Make-up Classes
 
1.  Refunds.  Fliteway has a no refund policy once a program has started. 
2.  Program Transfers.  Transfers between programs must have club director approval.
3.  Cancellations.  Registration cancellations are accepted up to 7 days prior to start of program.  Requests must be either in-person at our club office or in writing (email). Cancellations are subject to the Skate Canada membership fee. 
4.  Make-up Classes.  Due to high registration numbers and quality assurance of our programs, make-up classes are not permitted. 
 
Communications
 
1.  All club communication including but not limited to program information, newsletters, reminders, upcoming events, bingo information and tax receipts are issued by email. 
2.  Therefore, please include your email address on your registration form, and add both our club's email address (infofliteway@gmail.com) and club director's email address (hammerclyde@gmail.com) into your email contacts to ensure you receive all communications.
3.  Fliteway does not issue any communications in paper format except for brochures, report cards, and test sheets.
 
Photography and Media Consent
 
1.  On occasion, Fliteway staff and coaches may take photographs or video of various skating sessions. 
2.  If you do not want your skater photographed or recorded for any purposes, please advise our club office before your program starts.

Privacy Policy
 
1.  Fliteway is committed to protecting the privacy of any personal information. All information collected is confidential and used only for administration purposes and registration with Skate Canada. 
2.  Fliteway does not share member information with any other organization, user group, or third party other than Skate Canada.  Fliteway is a member of Skate Canada and falls under the Skate Canada umbrella.  See www.skatecanada.ca.
3.  Fliteway uses email to communicate with members regarding registrations, updates, and reminders.  If you do not wish to be on our emailing list, please contact our club office at 780-472-1810.
 
Terms and Conditions
 
1.  This website is for the use of the Fliteway Figure Skating Club.  All contents other than designated downloads cannot be copied or used without permission from the Fliteway Figure Skating Club.   
 
Delivery of Goods and Services
 
1.  Transactions made to the Fliteway Figure Skating Club are for skating services rendered by the club.  Delivery of these services is outlined in our brochures and on our website. Registrant participation is subject to the session, dates, times, and location as indicated in your registration.
